The Story

Taurus Astro Gal
The title: La Toréadora

As a fashion designer, I rarely got the opportunity to illustrate fashion or design gowns...this was my chance to indulge!

To illustrate the Taurus Gal, I focused on the bull's stubbornness and also on its love of beauty. Coiffed with horns and dressed in an emerald green (her birthstone) tuxedo matador gown, the ruled by Venus earth sign is ready for action yet, surrounded by beauty: fresh hues of pink and refined Asian-inspired flowers...Colors to make her heart sign!

Care Instructions

Dry cleaning is always recommended for silk but you can also hand wash it with a mild detergent and lay flat or hang to dry.

Never use chlorine bleach; this would damage the fibers.

Use iron on silk setting (low heat).

To amplify color fastness (colors not fading) you can first do a wash in cold water with 1/4 cup of white vinegar and 1 teaspoon of salt.
