The Story

Libra Astro Gal
The title: Themis of Olympia

As a fashion designer, I rarely got the opportunity to illustrate fashion or design gowns...this was my chance to indulge!

To illustrate the Libra Gal, I focused on representing Themis the Goddess of wisdom and good counsel. With geek mythology as inspiration, the landscape erects ancient columns and a meander decorative border.
The libra woman is sophisticated, fair, and diplomatic; her attire should reflect that. Her dress train, in feminine pink tones (a reminder of the greek chiton draping), is paired with a classic black lace bodice. Her go-to accessory: The scales of justice earrings!

Care Instructions

This Hanging Tapestry is washable!
Dry cleaning is always recommended for silk but you can also hand wash it with a mild detergent and lay flat or hang to dry.

Never use chlorine bleach; this would damage the fibers.

Use iron on silk setting (low heat).

As per all artwork, never hand in direct sunlight

To amplify color fastness (colors not fading) you can first do a wash in cold water with 1/4 cup of white vinegar and 1 teaspoon of salt.
