The Story

Aries Astro Gal
The title: Marvil l'intrépide
(a French play on the month of April and Aries' intrepid side)

As a fashion designer, I rarely got the opportunity to illustrate fashion or design gowns...this was my chance to indulge!

To illustrate the Aries Gal, I focused on Aries's panache and gusto! Her hair represents the swirled horns of the ram in fiery reddish hues (her element) and her dress is a clin-d'oeil to the sass of the harlequin and April-fool's day, which coincides with her star sign. Balance is added with a lux Paris nightly scene (one of Montmartre's famous staircases!)
...after all, diamonds are her best friends!

Care Instructions

This Hanging Tapestry is washable!
Dry cleaning is always recommended for silk but you can also hand wash it with a mild detergent and lay flat or hang to dry.

Never use chlorine bleach; this would damage the fibers.

Use iron on silk setting (low heat).

As per all artwork, never hand in direct sunlight

To amplify color fastness (colors not fading) you can first do a wash in cold water with 1/4 cup of white vinegar and 1 teaspoon of salt.
