Virgo Couture silk scarf
- (very) Limited Quantity
The perfect gift for the Virgo woman: a Fashionably-illustrated Star Sign Silk Scarf Square, to glam up your look!
Inspired by the harvesting season linked to the Virgo sign (more on this below in The Story section), this original art piece was created using a combination of watercolors, markers, pencils, and digital media, then printed on lightweight mulberry silk twill.
Every Star sign sign has a title, the brand's logo, and the artist's signature. The square silk scarf has a traditional hand-rolled hem – À la Française!

The Story
The Story
As a fashion designer, I rarely got the opportunity to illustrate fashion or design gowns...this was my chance to indulge!
The Virgo Astro Gal
The title: Angélique Virginie
- A French play on words of Angelic and Virginia
Linked to Astraea, the virgin goddess of justice, purity, innocence, and precision, this star maiden sign is also associated with Demeter; the goddess of fertility and crop harvesting.
In this illustration, I focused on showcasing all of this: the field of wheat landscape, angel wings, the sapphire blue ruffle dress (her birthstone), and sausage-curled hair, both inspired by little-bo-peep (the innocent shepherdess). Also, the striped contour mirrors her humble, practical, no-nonsense approach to life.
Well, this one is just all wrapped up in symbolism ;)

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
Dry cleaning is always recommended for silk but you can also hand wash it with a mild detergent and lay flat or hang to dry.
Never use chlorine bleach; this would damage the fibers.
Use iron on silk setting (low heat).
To amplify color fastness (colors not fading) you can first do a wash in cold water with 1/4 cup of white vinegar and 1 teaspoon of salt.
