Even though this scene represents more of a Japanese feel (love Japanese culture!), in Canada, we do have cranes, herons, and the magic of blooming cherry trees in the springtime. I think they all represent beauty, grace and harmony!

Dry cleaning is always recommended but you can also hand wash silk with a mild detergent and lay flat or hang to dry.

Never use chlorine bleach; this would damage the fibers.

Use iron on silk setting (low heat).

To amplify color fastness (colors not fading) you can first do a wash in cold water with 1/4 cup of white vinegar and 1 teaspoon of salt.
